Teaching papercut to an Art Society group
Papercut Workshop
07/03/2013
Last weekend I taught papercutting to a group of the Rugby & District Art Society.
I've only been doing papercutting myself for a few years, but I'm very enthusiastic about this medium, and enjoyed passing on some ideas.
The interesting thing was how many different ways that the group of artists found to make use of layers of cut and torn paper, including using paints to colour the paper first.
One artist has already done some further work after the workshop, so I'm hopeful we may see some more in future exhibitions.
