Last month I visited the Hinckley Society of Artists, and demonstrated in acrylics.
I chose a scene I'd observed in my village, with long, golden evening shadows colouring the stubble field after the harvest, and I added a hare into the landscape.
During the evening I wasn't able to get as far on with the painting as I'd hoped, so I spent another day or so in the studio completing it.
I loved the contrast of the cool shadows and the warm light, and exaggerated the colours to emphasise their intensity.
