I recently demonstrated pastel drawing for the Nuneaton Over 50's Club, and drew two greater flamingos for them.

I saw the birds at "Birdland" in Bourton-on-the-Water last summer, and was struck by the reflections that the leggy birds made, as well as their striking colours.

I spent another day later on tidying up the work.
They looked so like ballerinas in gorgeous tutus, that I entitled the piece "Pas de Deux".
