Earlier in the month I had a very enjoyable visit to Northumberland - my favourite county for a holiday.
Staying in a peaceful location at the Mill House at Guyzance, I was able to watch roe deer daily, including a young fawn, which was delightful.
A visit to the Farne Islands was always on the cards, and the boat trip didn't disappoint, with hundreds of seabirds, including my favourite Puffins.
This sort of holiday gives me a tremendous amount of material as reference for my wildlife art, including this lovely Goosander family cruising by on the River Coquet - she had 9 chicks, I think, & I hope she manages to raise them all.
