Leopards mutually grooming.
Clouded Leopards
27/09/2021
I recently visited the Cotswold Wildlife Park near Burford in Oxfordshire,
with friends from The Wildlife Art Society International.
We spent a sunny day there, and I was pleased to be able to concentrate
on a few animals, getting reference for my pictures.
These two clouded leopards were affectionately grooming each other in the
sunshine, and I took plenty of film to try and capture their movements.
I loved the two pink tongues which came and went!
Afterwards, I drew out the pose in colour pencil on drafting film, and was
pleased to capture something of their closeness in a tight composition:
"A Good Licking".
