I'm currently working on a small papercut based on the kingfishers
that I saw at Slimbridge last year.

I've been painting plenty of papers in textured colours, and cutting out
background layers of undergrowth, reeds and teasels.
The kingfishers were also made in layers of painted paper, and then
some details were added.

Now I'm concentrating on how to arrange all the layers, and then I'll have
to introduce some different depths with foam board, so that the finished
piece stands slightly 3D.
Deciding what to include and what to leave out can be the hardest part
of the work!
