I spent an engrossing time in Northumberland this week watching wildlife.
A trip to the Farne Islands for the first time since 2019 gave me the opportunity
to see many seabirds and grey seals, including my favourite Puffins.

Hare Lodge at Guyzance where I stayed also gave plenty of wildlife encounters,
with roe deer and a stoat amongst the highlights.

Dusk and dawn are the best times to see wildlife, so I was up very early, or
stayed out late to see what was about.
Roe deer can be seen from the lodge daily, and this handsome roebuck came
very close, allowing me to take useful film, which I shall use in future work.
